The Story
Located on Toronto’s Harbourfront, The Daphne Cockwell Centre for Health Sciences at George Brown College is a purpose-built facility revolutionizing health and science education. Spanning 385,000 square feet, the building features modern classrooms, retail space, and 350 below-grade parking stalls, with plans for overhead and underground connections to adjacent blocks. Designed for team-based, patient-centered care, the facility integrates advanced technology, including a fully converged IP network that optimizes building performance, reduces its carbon footprint, and enhances the student and staff experience. With interconnected systems for audio-visual, security, and electrical features, the centre fosters inter-professional collaboration in a cutting-edge, sustainable environment.
