PME Inc., one of EllisDon’s subsidiaries, has been committed to innovation and continuous improvement in the industrial construction sector. Recognizing the industry-wide challenge of declining labor productivity, PME Inc. and EllisDon partnered with Crewscope to implement a new pilot program aimed at enhancing worker engagement and efficiency.
The construction sector has grappled with a persistent labor shortage in recent years, leading to increased workloads and a decline in overall efficiency. PME Inc. sought to address this challenge by identifying new methods to motivate and empower its workforce.
Crewscope, a leading productivity platform, was piloted with our crews working on the Capital Line South LRT Sewer relocation project in Edmonton in March 2023. The program focused on providing real-time feedback, establishing clear performance targets, and recognizing achievements with tangible rewards.
The implementation of Crewscope yielded significant improvements across key performance indicators. Based on the data pulled from Crewscope’s project-specific database, EllisDon saw the following results:

Following the success of the pilot program, EllisDon has expanded the use of Crewscope to other projects, including the Alberta Legislature Plaza and First Nations Housing Projects.
